Jon Kirby is a respected local filmmaker. He's worked with lots of well-known brands, including Network Rail, Volvo, Sony and BBC's Top Gear.
We were asked to take a new logo and a half-finished web design and create a platform to show Film Garden's brilliant work at its best.
The initial website had never been completed or put live. It was very minimalist and mostly black on white. Our designer suggested inverting it so that it was white on black. Adding in the red from the logo gave us a clean, simple palette to work with.
It didn't need a complex design with lots of animation. The film footage we were showing did all the heavy lifting and the colour palette just provided a neutral base for the films to sit on.
The result - a bold, yet understated site that lets the quality of Jon's work shine through.
