We're a Northamptonshire-based company, established in September 2012. We build bespoke websites for UK-based SMEs, developing mainly in WordPress, with skills in other major platforms too.
We're UK-based, working directly with our clients rather than through account managers, and bringing corporate-level expertise without corporate-level pricing.
Before starting WhiteStar, Paul Drake, our owner, spent 30 years in the IT departments of corporates (including Volkswagen UK and Nationwide Building Society). Roles bridging business and technical teams taught him how to avoid using jargon.
His most recent 18 years as a data specialist shaped a data-driven approach to web design, rather than simply a design-driven one. Eventually, he decided to leave the corporate world and set out to use his experience to help SMEs succeed.
